Brief Description of Work for this Position

Primary responsibility will be working the circulation desk which will include providing directional assistance, checking materials in and out, and other basic clerical tasks. Some assignments may include assisting with supervising student workers.
Other duties will require specialized knowledge of library departments, policies, and other UNCW specific procedures. Light lifting will be required for shelving and other departmental related activities.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High School diploma

Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position

Preferred formal education or training, professional skills and work experience

Experience in public or academic libraries

Working knowledge of the Library of Congress classification system

Experience working with the public in a customer service environment

Flexible, team-oriented attitude

Work Hours 10:00AM - 2:00PM (subject to change for business needs)
Work Days Monday, Wednesday, Friday (subject to change for business needs)
Hours Per Week 12
