Essential functions of this position:

The Stewardship Manager is responsible for implementing a comprehensive program providing consistent stewardship, meaningful recognition, and engagement opportunities for all donors and target groups. This position will offer strategic support to the development teams to create a cohesive donor experience from cultivation, to solicitation and stewardship. This position will oversee stewardship programs and activities that align with annual giving goals as well as collaborate on individual strategies for major gift donors. This position will develop donor-centric plans that successful meet the division’s needs and align with best practices, emerging trends and policies set forth by the university, FERPA and IRS guidelines.

N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:

Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are important to this role

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

A high level of creativity, accountability and collaboration is expected

Ability to interpret complex data to guide strategic decisions

Strong judgment and code of personal ethics

Ability to operate effectively, flexibly and collegially in a complex organizational environment

Preferred education, professional skills and experience:

Experience working with Raiser’s Edge or other Blackbaud products is preferred

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Recruitment Range $48,000 - $54,500
NC Salary Grade Equivalency 70
Hours Per Week 1.0 (40 hours per week)

Work Days Monday - Friday, some weekends may be required
Work Hours 8:00AM - 5:00PM, some nights and weekends may be required
