Essential functions of this position:

Develop and implement marketing and communications tools to support relationship-building recruitment and for all territories and geo-markets in North Carolina, key out-of-state markets, and underrepresented/diverse groups. Maintain communication outreach to students as they continue through the enrollment funnel, develop communication with high school counselors, and organize and administer calling campaigns to these targeted populations of students.
Collaborate with Office of University Relations on creating and developing print and digital recruitment materials for first year and transfer students. Coordinate and execute all communication plans targeting prospective students at every stage of the recruitment/enrollment funnel, to include written/mailed materials, e-mails and web-based communications, and phone calls. In addition, this role will coordinate and lead the social media team.
Maintain the timing and effectiveness of all planned communication deliveries, including reviewing and monitoring analytics to determine if target markets are receiving the information as planned.
Structure, organize, and access data from the prospect management database for the purposes of reporting and analytics.
This individual will participate in the evaluation of applications and serve as a voting member of the Admissions Committee, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be
received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:

Able to demonstrate strong public relations skills

Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication; computer competency

Ability to meet critical deadlines

Ability to collaborate with campus personnel

Outstanding organizational skills

Preferred education, professional skills and experience:

Bachelor’s degree; at least three years of previous experience OR Master’s degree; at least one year of previous experience

Experience with communication practices, especially in Higher Education

Experience working with and in higher education areas and extensive knowledge of post-secondary education admissions requirements

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with best practices for recruitment of diverse / underrepresented students

Experience with using web-based Content Management Systems

Supervision experience, particularly of college students

Basic understanding of student information systems including AdmissionPros applications, admissions application policies and procedures, and data analysis

Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position:
