Brief Summary of Work for this Position:

Duties include:
Carpentry: Will occasionally be required to do light carpentry within the facilities to include construction and installing bathroom counters, shelving within storage areas within the housing facilities to include the housing warehouse, and dry wall repair and painting. Repair/replace door jambs, repair windows and casings. Install door closers.
HVAC: Clean condensate pans/drain lines. Replace thermostats. Calibrate/program thermostats.
Appliance Repair: Replace motors in washers and dryers. Repair/replace washer pumps. Replace control boards in washers/dryers and ranges. Replace dishwasher pumps. Repair/replace dryer bearings, belts and glides. Repair/replace ice makers in refrigerators. Clean condensate pan and drain lines in refrigerators.
Plumbing: Repair/replace bath and kitchen faucets. Replace flush valves in urinals and water closets. Replace vacuum breakers. Repair/replace sink drains. Unclog drains using plungers and electric augers. Repair eco-flush toilet systems.
Lock Repair: Perform preventive maintenance on locking systems. Repair locks. Change key cores.
Supervision: Supervise 1 to 8 student workers on a daily basis. Give directions and instructions as to how to assistant maintenance mechanic in completing daily maintenance requests.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position
Preferred formal education or training, professional skills and work experience
Work Hours 7:00AM to 4:30PM Monday - Thursday, 7:00AM to 11:00AM Friday
Work Days Monday - Friday
Hours Per Week 40
