Brief Summary of Work for this Position:

The Department of Biology and Marine Biology is accepting applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level, under a broad theme of Coastal Health. Expertise is being sought in two areas: 1) health of coastal inhabitants (for example, toxicology, ecology of diseases, water-borne pollutants), and 2) coastal ecosystem health (for example, climate change, wetlands, aquaculture, fisheries biology, impacts of exotic species, and conservation). Candidates must have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience. Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to teaching Marine Biology, Animal Physiology or Ecology and other courses depending on individual expertise, and to maintain a vigorous, extramurally funded research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.

Minimum Requirements

PhD in Biology, Marine Biology, and related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate must have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience. Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to teaching Marine Biology, Animal Physiology or Ecology and other courses depending on individual expertise, contribute to departmental service, and to maintain a vigorous, extramurally research funded research.
